Greetings from the Lodge, below is the latest letter from our Worshipful Master Shaun Weaver, go ahead and give it a read to see the latest happenings of the Lodge.
September was quite the busy month for the Lodge, we were honored to have Don Stapleton, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Oregon and many of his officers do an official visit to Newberg that included dinner and quite the meeting program. Special thanks for the evening however goes to Newberg Chapter No. 55 OES for helping us make sure this was a very special event, their continued hard work is an important part of the success of the Newberg Masonic Family!
On September 12th members of Newberg also travelled to the Rickreall outdoor Lodge in Salem to help in a very special degree, our ver own George Dickie IV raised his son George Dickie V a Master Mason, congratulations George!
We hope everyones summer is off to a great start! As many may know the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival is right around the corner which also means the parade. The Lodge will be taking a much more active role in the events this year especially after all we saw last year which was far bigger than anticipated. We will be having a Trestleboard released very soon which will have all the details on how you can get involved or just stop by the Lodge and see what we’re doing as part of this great community event!
Our installation of officers was a huge success to end the year and as WB Rick Fieldhouse put it in his closing remarks “The Newberg Lodge certainly had a good year in 2014.” We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a Happy New Year. The website and Facebook have all been officially updated for the 2015 changeover which will occur on 12/27/14. Below is all of the information about the haunted house, if you have questions feel free to contact us here at Newberg and we would be happy to assist you.
